MEG is abbreviation of Magneto- Encephalo- Graphy. Neuromagnetometer is a machine which detects subtle magnetic field derived from cerebral electric activities. Electric signal is attenuated through skull bone, but not magnetic signal. Hiroshima University Hospital has a neuromagnetometer, Neuromag System made by Neuromag O.Y. in Finland. Neuromagnetometer is used for brain function mapping, epileptic focus estimation or others.
